Photo by MichaelGeorge | I don’t mind being wet, but many cameras do. On my last day in Iceland, I found myself running late in my journey back to Reykjavík. Torrential rain made the driving slow going, and all the rags I’d kept to the side to dry my equipment were soaked through. When the 40-mile-an-hour winds blew more sideways rain into my lens, I tried wiping it down and found myself just smearing the water in circles. My last stop was Skógafoss waterfall, and I gave up on drying things off. As you can see, I did myself a favor. The last few images from my trip are a through-the-looking-glass blur of my final moments in this beautiful place.
